An improvement in the mechanical properties when compared with the neat nylon matrix was reported.Creep resistance in nanocomposites can be ascribed to clay dispersion as well as matrix properties. [13] studied the creep deformation of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) filled with 1, 3, and 5 wt% layered silicate. An increase of 30% in modulus was obtained at a clay loading of 5 wt%. Creep compliance decreased slightly with the addition of clay. This decrease suggests the beneficial effect of clay on the dimensional stability of the nanocomposite. Yang et cheap tiffany rings.
